Novartis is a Capstar product designed to rapidly and effectively terminate parasites on your dog and/or cat with no risk of side affects. Because Novartis Capstar is a tablet that may be given any time of the day, you need not bother with unpleasant sprays and powders. Many flea ridding products, such as sprays and powders, are composed of harsh pesticides that may harm your pet, but this particular product is pesticide free. In addition to being safe it is also extremely fast acting. Seven hours after administering the tablet, one hundred percent of adult fleas will be eliminated, relieving your pet of any discomfort associated with flea bites. If by any chance your pet experience another flea out break you may give an additional dose at least once a day. Novartis is the latest product made by Capstar.

There is also original Capstar (nitenpyram) which is similar to Novartis. While they both help to prevent flea infestation, Novartis Capstar treats at a more rapid speed than original Capstar (nitenpyram). There are other products on the market that also help control the population of fleas on your pet. Program flea control is another tablet form medication that helps you rid your dog or cat of fleas. Unlike Novartis that kills all stages of flea development, Program flea control only kills the eggs. So this product would work best if given before you experience a flea infestation. Other products like Advantage is formulated to kill fleas before they get a chance to lay eggs. One treatment of advantage will last for months after applying to your pet. Novartis may be given to both cats and dogs as small as two pounds and as young as four weeks. Both pregnant and nursing animals may safely take this medicaton. It may also be given with other pet products such as antibiotics, shampoos, and vaccines.
